Professional Services for Local Authorities
The Catholic Children's Society has many years experience of working with local authorities across the UK.
We believe that 'every child matters'. Our approach is based on a belief in the human dignity of each child. That dignity is there to be discovered and nurtured, even in the most difficult situations.
Currently, local authorities use us for the following aspects of our care services: The focus of much of our work centres on children’s experiences of separation from those families and individuals to whom they were previously attached. These separations have often taken place abruptly and in many instances were preceded by neglect, physical and sexual abuse and multiple moves. The placement of each one of these children in new families is a sensitive, creative and skilled piece of work.
"I have used the Catholic Children's Society in the past five years and can only compliment them on their assessments of children." (a local authority social worker).
