About Us

The Catholic Children's Society is your regional Catholic social care agency. Our work is based in the dioceses of Arundel & Brighton, Portsmouth and Southwark.

Our specialist care services are used by local authorities from much further afield. We offer our services to all, irrespective of religious or ethnic origin.

Founded in 1887, the Catholic Children's Society was originally set up to find homes for orphans, the innocent victims of rapidly changing economic and social conditions.

Today, our work encompasses a variety of different projects, ranging from schools counselling to residential care for young people with learning difficulties. Our ethos is inspired by Christian social teaching and a belief in the dignity and worth of every human being.
